Hem length and heel height May 20, 2008

So on the 24th June, it’s our college Leavers Ball! Originally, I had intented to wear a cocktail dress I wore to Hannah’s 18th, but when I tried it on again, I decided this couldn’t shouldn’t be done, seeing as my boobs suddenly looked 100Xbigger. They looked like a handy pillow for my head. So I went on a hunt for a new dress.





It was the beautiful shoes that came into my life first. Purple satin 5 inch shoesies. Yes please. Basically, there was no two ways about it, I needed those shoes for the ball. So I bought them. (Even though they cost a pretty penny or two) Then into my life came the satin shell clutch from Singapore that exactly matches the satin on my shoes. Fate much? So I bought that. Then just the other day, the dress came into my life. I saw it, thought it would look awesome against the purple shoes and bag and bought that too.

I knew before it even arrived that it was going to be short-ish, but I tried it on first before forming an opinion. I know that that length of dress + that height of heel = porn star, but what do you reckon? I love how it all looks, but I need opinions.

Mayday mayday! May 2, 2008

Yeah so it was May Day (1st May) yesterday, which means that the first Monday after that is a bank holiday. So no college for Poppy on Monday! I’m going to stay at David’s flat this weekend though, so I didn’t plan on coming back for Monday anyway.

Last weekend I went to stay at his and when it came to Sunday night when I was meant to be going to get my train home, I decided I didn’t want to leave, so missed college on Monday so I could see him for just a little longer. Well, when your boyfriend lives an hour and a half train ride away from you, the weekend just ain’t long enough! So this weekend, I shall be taking advantage of May Day and will also miss Tuesday’s college too and come back Tuesday night. I don’t have an excuse for that. I just want to.

Also with May, comes the May Fair to my town. After a certain age, you realise that you’re far too old for it, but you still go down just to go on a few of the rides, see your mates, enjoy a sunny evening in town and snag yourself a bag of candy floss. I didn’t dare take my camera down town, so today’s P365 image is really pants quality because I took it on my phone. But at least I still got a picture. Not missed a day yet!

Speaking of Project 365, I finally got all the pictures uploaded that I’ve taken so far. That page will get updated when the blog does, I’ve decided.

After 7 months, she awoke! April 23, 2008

Finally, about 7 months after disappearing off cyber space, I’m back! Granted, it’s not my own domain anymore, but I don’t mind just now. My domain provider was absolute pants and they locked me out of my own FTP server, so I severed all ties with them and ran swiftly in the other direction. I figured WordPress would be easy enough to use, so here I am until I decide I might want my own domain again.

So in 7 months, what’ve I done? Well to name a few things I turned 18 in November, got accepted onto the Foundation Year course at CCAD (Starts in September), got tickets to go see Death Cab For Cutie, (I’ve only wanted to see them live for, oh I don’t know…forever!) got a tattoo, started Project 365, went skiing in Austria for a week with College (Check pictures 73 to 80 in P365, for a few photos) and a lot more stuff, but you don’t need to know every single thing.

Well that’s it from me, just wanted to let you know that I’m still alive over here. I’ll try my best to blog regularly, and it’ll be easier to now I don’t have to fanny about with an FTP server, but I’m rapidly heading towards my final exams so if it goes a fortnight without a post, I’m still here. Promise.
